The German-language article Der Tod eines Dichters by Danish
writer Aage Madelung is an obituary or eulogy over
Herman Bang (1857-1912), which
was published as a feuilleton (article at the bottom of the front
page) in the Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung on February
13, 1912. Det Konglige Bibliotek (Royal Library, Copenhagen) has
digitized this issue of the newspaper in 2016 and made it available as
a PDF without any useful OCR text. In December 2020, we copied this to
Project Runeberg, auto-corrected the white balance, cropped the parts
that cover the title heading and the feuilleton, but left out
everything else, and created an OCR text using Tesseract 4.0
(Fraktur).
This volume was scanned by Det Kongelige Bibliotek, Denmark's national library,
from where the scanned images were copied to Project Runeberg.
