Preface to the electronic edition
The Swedish originals Nattvardsbarnen (1820)
and Frithiofs saga (1820-1825) were translated to English and
published together in 1914.
The
Internet Archive digitized a copy at the University of Toronto in
color in August 2007.
Separately, black-and-white images were scanned at Harvard University in October
2007 by Google , and were copied to the Internet Archive in
September 2008. The color images were initially copied to Project
Runeberg in July 2020, but they are of low quality. In February 2021,
they were replaced with the black-and-white images, and an OCR text
was created by us.
This volume was scanned elsewhere and made available by the Internet Archive,
from where the scanned images were copied to Project Runeberg.
We very much appreciate that they have made this possible
and want to encourage other digital library projects to
follow their example. Read more about Project Runeberg's
image sources.
