Förord till den elektroniska utgåvan
Goethes roman om Wilhelm Meister (se
tyska
Wikipedia) utkom i två böcker: Lehrjahre (1796) och Wanderjahre
(1821). Däremellan, 1817, utkom denna svenska översättning av en del
av första boken. Boken har 2016 digitaliserats av Kungliga
biblioteket, varifrån de scannade bilderna och OCR-texten i juni 2019
kopierades till Projekt Runeberg. Den finns även
tillgänglig via Litteraturbanken.
Vid korrekturläsningen behålls frakturstilens w, medan ß skrivs om
som ss.
