Preface to the Electronic Edition
Viktor Rydberg
(1828-1895) was one of Sweden's most important authors in the 19th
century, between Almqvist and Strindberg. Sägner, berättelser och
skizzer ("tales and sketches") constitutes volume VIII of the
fourteen in Skrifter av Viktor Rydberg ("collected works"),
which appeared in the decades following the author's death, edited by
Karl Warburg
(1852-1918). This collection was sold in numerous editions, and
other, smaller collections with similar names were also sold. Find an

The 2nd edition, printed in 1907, of was used as a copy. Each of
the included tales also has its edition designation, counting from
their own 1st edition.
The 319 pages are presented in facsimile in 120 dpi grayscale,
combined with unprocessed, "raw" text from optical character
recognition (OCR).
